Record and edit samples and sequences, play live, and design sounds using a high resolution color touch screen. It’s easy to chop beats, finger drum on one-shots or play notes on multisampled pianos with an onscreen keyboard or your favorite MIDI Controller. Record in real time or draw notes in on the Piano Roll or use the new Step Sequencer. Use new Loop Groups to launch multiple loops for simultaneous playback with bpm sync. blackbox 2 checks all the desktop sampler boxes needed for DAWless music production. Plus with an internal 3-hour battery, just throw it in your backpack and you’re beatmaking at the beach or anywhere inspiration hits!

Like bento, blackbox 2 has a dedicated Launch screen to launch Loop Groups and Sequences on the fly. Play complete songs using Song mode, or play song sections interactively as Scenes. Perform live with real-time clip and scene triggering, expressive pads, resampling tools and new DJ Effects. With great support for real-time control and generous I/O, DAWless jams and performances are easy.
