The Eowave Metallik Resonator brings back a truly distinctive musical device.
Originally designed by Maurice Martenot in the 1930s, this remarkable instrument is reintroduced by Eowave. It's an electroacoustic resonator featuring a 50cm gong that vibrates via an exciter. The accompanying amplifier is remarkably versatile, accommodating a wide range of input sources. Whether you're playing it softly with a guitar or feeding it noisy Eurorack signals, it delivers a rich and captivating sound.
If you've ever struck a gong, you're familiar with its long-lasting reverberations. This gong, with its significant diameter, offers a fundamental tone that can be harnessed to create beautiful harmonies or intense dissonance. The resulting sound is highly metallic, and if desired, you can easily introduce distortion to your signals. Furthermore, like all electroacoustic instruments, you have the option to physically interact with the sound, opening up creative possibilities.
Despite its size, the Metallik Resonator isn't particularly loud. For live performances, you'll need to use microphones to amplify the gong. In the studio, you'll also need to employ microphones to capture its unique sounds. This setup, in fact, encourages experimentation since each microphone imparts its own sonic character to the recordings.
This outstanding instrument is perfect for morning meditation sessions or evening adventures in sound design.

If you place an order containing a mixture of in-stock and pre-order items, we'll normally hold off on shipping anything until the pre-order item(s) have arrived, rather than splitting it into multiple shipments.
