Manufacturer's description
A high-quality reverb pedal inspired by the classic algorithms of the 1980s Midiverb 1 and 2. The Shoegazer12 is designed to bring vintage digital sound into a modern, guitar-friendly format.
Features
- 12-bit reverb pedal based on iconic algorithms from the Midiverb 1 and 2.
- Perfect for shoegaze, dream pop, and oceanic rock genres.
- Inspired by vintage rack units such as the Midiverb 1, Midiverb 2, SPX90 and FX500.
- Compact and practical for live performances, addressing the issues of bulkiness and bypass limitations found in vintage units.
- Analog signal path with pre-emphasis, low-pass filtering, and compression before digital processing, replicating the signal chain of vintage units.
- Analog modulation and variable global sampling rate for creative effects.
- Expression pedal compatibility for “dive bomb” reverb and delay bends.
- 12-bit resolution adds character with a touch of noise for a lo-fi, vintage feel.
Programs
The pedal features 8 programs, divided into two categories:
- Reverse Reverb (based on Midiverb 1):
- 40 - Reverse Long
- 41 - Reverse Medium
- 42 - Reverse Short
- 43 - Reverse Regen
- Bloom Reverb (based on Midiverb 2):
- 44 - Massive Bloom
- 45 - Classic Bloom
- 46 - Bloom Delay 1
- 47 - Bloom Delay 2
Controls
- Pitch: Controls sampling rate for the whole effect, allowing for smooth pitch shifts and other tricks. Has an associated expression pedal input.
- Blend: Mixes between direct signal and effected signal, up to 100% with no dry.
- Soft Focus: Adds a layer of modulation between chorus, phaser and vibe. Active on any of the programs. Works independently from total pitch modulation.
- Program: Selects one of 8 programs, with a silent pause while changing.
- Tone: Active tone control pre reverb. Flat at centre, boosts bass frequencies at left, high frequencies at high.
- Rate: Speed control for LFO that allows for global pitch modulation.
- Wave: Selects one of eight LFO waveforms.
- Depth: Amount of modulation for pitch/sampling rate.
Footswitches
- Slow: Allows for reducing sampling rate to half, thus creating strange octave effects.
- Tap: LFO tap tempo.
- Freeze: Holds what’s in the memory buffer allowing for INFINITE effects. The exception being bloom program 45 which does not freeze.
- Bypass: Buffered bypass.
- Length: 145 mm
- Width: 120 mm
- Depth: 40 mm
