6-channel stereo mixer/multi-channel audio interface

This comprehensive and portable mixer features six stereo channels complete with encoders and mini-sliders you can use to control a range of parameters. Don’t be fooled by its compact design, the TX-6 is packed with useful features including an internal synthesizer and sequencer as well as a built-in tuner. You can even connect the mixer to iOS devices thanks to the MFi compatibility. Its highly versatile design makes it perfect for any musician on the move. Whilst primarily operating as a six-channel mixer, the TX-6 can also be used as a 12-channel audio interface for use with music software and apps. The interface boasts 32-bit/48kHz audio fidelity with 12 available channels for multitrack recordings. Six inputs are included in the form of 3.5mm connections which you can use with a variety of gear including mics and instruments thanks to the inclusion of a 6.3mm adapter. There is also a headset mic input as well as an AUX output for added flexibility. You can navigate between settings, modes and parameters using the monochrome display and the various encoders and track buttons.

Onboard synthesizer and sequencer

Whilst its primary function is as a 6-channel mixer; the TX-6 also features a built-in synthesizer and sequencer. Perfect for musicians on the move, the TX-6 allows you to quickly capture your musical ideas when inspiration strikes. Equipped with four oscillator waveforms and four synthesized drum sounds, you can create both melody and rhythm and blend them together using the tempo sync functionality.

Activating synth mode will transform each channel into a configurable sound generator that can be mixed with any of the input signals. Using the track/shift buttons you can adjust the tone/frequency of your sound as well as other sound-shaping parameters. The four waveforms are comprised of sine, triangle, square and saw waves. There are also four synthesized drum sounds in the form of kick, snare, clap and hi-hat.

Using the encoders and pots you can change various parameters including frequency (individual frequency/note control per track) and the length of your notes (as well as decay adjustment). The ‘sequence’ parameter allows you to trigger the pattern sequence choice so you can arrange your sounds and tempo-sync them.

Eight studio-grade effects and DJ mode

A variety of effects are available for you to use with various modes including send effects such as reverb, chorus and delay. More esoteric effects are also included such as freeze, tape, filter and distortion. Each channel is armed with a three-band EQ and an adjustable compressor, so you can shape your sound further. Each send effect has different settings including the strength of your chorus effect and various different styles of reverb and delay. You can mangle and warp your sound using the various distortion and crush settings or add some texture/movement to your sound using tape or the tremolo effect.

The TX-6 is also great for DJs. Simply turn the mixer on its side and you can use the TX-6 as a personal DJ mixer. Channel 1 becomes a crossfader so you can blend/fade/cut between channels 5 and 6. Connect your headphones to the cue output and you can preview your tracks before you bring them in live. You can even dictate how the crossfader works with different settings on offer including slow-fade and fast cut.

Wireless connectivity, customisable interface

With built-in BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) connectivity, you can use the TX-6 as a wireless controller. When connected to other devices using BLE you can control other BLE MIDI devices or trigger/sync the internal synth/sequencer from various other sources. You can also customise each knob to control any of the onboard settings.

Portable design with rechargeable battery

Robust, compact and highly portable; the TX-6 is the ultimate mixing solution for musicians on the move. The outside casing is constructed from CNC aluminium with 2k moulding for maximum durability. The encoders, faders and custom PCV are all custom-made and engineered for the best possible mixing experience. The onboard rechargeable battery can last up to 8 hours from a full charge. The display with automatically go into sleep mode when not in use to conserve power. Also, the brightness and LED strength is adjustable too. There are a range of accessories available for the TX-6 including a dedicated field bag, slimline cables and more (not included).
